Engdahl’s carefully argued critique goes far beyond the familiar destrcution surrounding the practice of genetic modification as a scientific technique. It covers the roots of the strategy to control ‘global food security’ that goes back to the s and the plans of a handful of American families to preserve their wealth and power. He talks about how the US government colluded by declaring GMO’s substantially the same as ordinary food crops and therefore not subject to consumer labeling requirements.
